  2. The data will only be used by authorised representatives of ABL Health. We may use and process your personal information where you have consented for us to do so. We use information for the purposes of fulfilling your requests; this includes providing you with information that may be of interest to you, to customise content that you see, or for technical website administration. Your data will only be used for marketing purposes via email, web/online, post or SMS if you have opted-in to such use. We will not pass your data to third parties for marketing purposes. We will only pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so.

We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.     Our app employs Google Analytics (GA) to monitor and analyse user interaction. This aids us in understanding user behaviour, enhancing app functionality, and improving the overall user experience.

    Data Collected:

    Google Analytics in the app gathers information such as your geographical location, device type, operating system, and app usage statistics like session duration and in-app activity. None of this data personally identifies you to us at ABL Health.

    IP Address:

    While Google Analytics does record your IP address, it is not accessible to us and is not used to personally identify you. Google acts as a third-party data processor in this regard.

    Data Collection and Opt-Out:

    Our app uses technologies similar to cookies, such as unique identifiers and mobile analytics software, to collect data. You have several options to opt-out of this data collection:

  2. If you opt to share feedback through the contact/feedback form, the information you provide will be retained by this website. However, it will not be forwarded to or handled by any third-party data processors.
    Alternatively, if you decide to submit feedback via email, the data you provide will neither be stored on this website nor transmitted to any third-party data processors. Instead, the information will be compiled into an email and securely sent to us via SMTP. Our SMTP servers are safeguarded, ensuring that email content is encrypted. Subsequently, the content is decrypted through our local computers and devices.

  1. Process for Data Access and Correction
  2. Whenever personal data is obtained from you, you will have access to information outlining how that data will be used.
    If you wish to access the personal data held by the service, you should submit a freedom of information request in writing to info@ablhealth.co.uk (if this is not possible or you require support please contact ABL Health’s head office on 01204 570999).
    You have the right to request that we erase personal data about you that we hold. This is not an absolute right, and depending on the legal basis that applies, we may have overriding legitimate grounds to continue to process the data.

    If you choose to delete your DFD account any information that has been input and shared with the ABL Health service database (1S4H) will not be deleted immediately, medical records are held for 8 years as standard (in line with NHS policy), however your DFD profile and data will no longer be held in the DFD application. If a data deletion request is made ABL Health will stop processing any data held on 1S4H that relates to you, in addition staff access to your data will be restricted.

  2. The national data opt-out is a service that allows patients to opt out of their confidential patient information being used for research and planning. ABL Health is currently compliant with the National Data Opt-Out policy. To find out more including how clients register their choice to opt out, please visit:

  1. Sharing information – our third-party data processors
  2. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
    We use a number of third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully chosen and all of them comply with the legislation required.

We will investigate your complaint within 20 working days of the date you raised the complaint. If the investigation will require longer than this, we will contact you by email to discuss and agree an extension. Once the investigation is complete a letter of response we be sent to you. The letter will include details of the investigation carried out, actions taken as a result of the complaint and the lessons learned.
